1. Who processes your data

I am Mikel Dewisme, a digital product designer and developer working from Barcelona, Spain. I am the data controller for the data collected through this website.

2. What data I collect, and when

This website has no analytics and no tracking cookies of its own. There is no profiling and no advertising. I only collect data in three specific situations:

2.1 When you book a call

The contact page has a Cal.com calendar embedded in it. When you book, the following is collected:

• Your name and your email address
• The date and time you pick, and your time zone
• Any answers you write in the booking form
• Any note you add when booking, cancelling or rescheduling

That form is served by Cal.com inside an iframe, so Cal.com receives that data directly and may store its own cookies in your browser so the booking works. Section 5 has the detail.

2.2 When you email me

If you email me, I collect your address and whatever you tell me in the message. I use it only to reply to you.

2.3 During a project

If we end up working together, I will process the data needed to deliver and invoice the service: contact details, billing details and any access to your platforms that you give me.

3. What I use it for, and on what legal basis

• Replying to you and arranging the call: because you asked me to. The basis is your consent and pre contractual measures
• Delivering and invoicing the service you hired: performance of the contract and compliance with legal obligations

I do not use your data for unsolicited marketing, I do not sell it, and I do not share it with anyone other than the providers in section 5.

4. How long I keep it

• Enquiries that do not become a project: up to one year from the last contact, and sooner if you ask me
• Clients: for as long as the relationship lasts, and after that for the periods required by tax and commercial law
• Cal.com bookings: according to Cal.com's own retention periods, and I delete them from my account once they are no longer needed

5. Third parties that process data for me

I use these providers so the site and the bookings work:

• Vercel Inc. (United States), which hosts the site. It logs basic technical data such as IP address and browser
• Cal.com, Inc. (United States), which runs the calendar and the bookings. It receives the data in section 2.1
• Apple Inc., the provider of the email account I reply from

Some of these providers are outside the European Economic Area, so there may be international data transfers, covered by the safeguards each of them applies. You can check the detail in their respective privacy policies. If you would rather book without going through Cal.com, email me at mikeldewi@icloud.com and we will arrange it over email.

6. Cookies

This website sets no cookies of its own for analytics, advertising or tracking.

The Cal.com calendar embedded in the contact page can set them, because they are needed for the calendar itself to work. If you would rather they did not load, do not visit that page and email me instead. You can also block third party cookies from your browser.

7. Security

• The whole site is served encrypted over HTTPS
• Access to client information is restricted to me
• I share no data with third parties beyond what section 5 states

8. Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability at any time, and withdraw your consent where the processing is based on it.

To do so, email me at mikeldewi@icloud.com. I reply in under 24 hours and resolve the request within the legal deadline.

9. External links

This site links to places I do not control, such as the App Store, LinkedIn or Cal.com. I am not responsible for their privacy practices. I recommend reading their policies.

10. Minors

My services are aimed at businesses and at adults. I do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

11. Changes to this policy

If I change the tools I use, I update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant and I have your contact details, I will tell you.

12. Complaints

If you think I have not handled your data properly, email me first and we will sort it out. In any case you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency: www.aepd.es.

13. Language

This is a translation provided for convenience. My activity is based in Spain and the Spanish version of this policy is the one that prevails if the two ever differ.
